Wendy is a home decorator and event designer in San Diego, CA. She started out in New York City as a home design editor for 10 years. Her room makeovers and chic design ideas have appeared in magazines such as REDBOOK, HOME, Family Circle, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Ladies’ Home Journal, Easy Decorating and on CountryLiving.com.

After moving to San Diego in 2009, Wendy worked for two years as a visual manager for Anthropologie retail, heading up the display and merchandising team for the La Jolla store.

And in November 2011, she launched her design business Wendy James Designs, which is a combination of her first name and that of her late father, James Manwarren, who is the inspiration behind Wendy starting her own business.

Wendy loves a bargain, and her designs typically include giving new life to well-loved furnishings, making her own sophisticated DIY projects for the spaces she creates and hunting down amazing vintage finds.
